1. Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing Kora Stream Africa or using any Kora service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy and Refund Policies. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. A parent or legal guardian must manage access for a child. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised account activity. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
3. Profiles and Kora Kids
A member account may include Main and Kids profiles. Kids profiles show only content approved as Kids & Family. Parents and guardians remain responsible for profile selection, parental PIN security and deciding what is suitable for children in their care.
4. Access to the service
Kora currently offers access according to the options displayed on the platform. We may introduce or change free, advertising-supported, rental, trial or subscription offerings. Any price, billing period, renewal arrangement and material restriction will be shown before a paid transaction is completed.
5. Licence to watch
Kora grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to stream available content for private, non-commercial viewing in authorised territories. Content is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, download unless an official download feature is provided, record, rebroadcast, distribute, publicly perform, resell, modify, reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections.
6. Catalogue and availability
Titles, channels, features, languages and territories may change as licences expire, rights change or content is reviewed. We do not guarantee that a particular title will remain available. We may update, suspend or maintain parts of the platform where reasonably necessary.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Kora to break the law; infringe copyright, privacy or other rights; upload malware; interfere with platform security; scrape or automate access without permission; impersonate another person; harass others; post unlawful or abusive material; manipulate engagement; or use the service commercially without written approval.
8. Comments and member contributions
You remain responsible for material you submit. You grant Kora a non-exclusive licence to host, display and moderate that material for operating and promoting the relevant platform feature. We may remove material that violates these terms, rights, safety standards or applicable law.
9. Film submissions and Partner Channels
You must own or control all rights needed for anything submitted to Kora. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, payment or a Partner Channel. Separate distribution, channel, commercial or revenue-sharing terms may apply after written approval.
10. Payments, renewals and cancellation
When paid services are offered, charges, renewal terms and cancellation options will be disclosed before purchase. You may cancel through the available account or subscription controls to prevent future renewal. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law.
11. Advertising and third parties
Kora may display clearly identified advertising or links to third-party services. A third party is responsible for its own products, services and privacy practices. Kora does not endorse every external claim merely because a link or advertisement appears on the platform.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful conduct, rights infringement or harm to Kora or others. Where appropriate and lawful, we may give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
13. Disclaimers and liability
Kora provides the service with reasonable care and does not exclude any warranty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Kora is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights under applicable consumer-protection law.
14. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect platform, legal or business changes. Material updates will be communicated reasonably and the latest version will be published here. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without removing any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country. Disputes should first be raised with Kora so the parties can try to resolve them fairly.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to info@streamkoraafrica.com.
